T4L is another company's product repackaged. It's $20 a month to pay for a "complete" preK-8 language arts and math curriculum along with some social studies and science for the lower grades.
It can be a core curriculum or just a supplement. What I like about it is that most of the lessons can be completed online without printing out too many worksheets. Also, I know that if he finishes the LA and Math for his grade he'll be up to date with kids in public school.
I don't think you can expect a spectacular system or curriculum for $20 a month. I think that a curriculum based solely on T4L would be lacking. It really looks and feels like supplemental information. The system is clearly not designed for homeschooling. You have to log in to the child's account to see how they've been doing, and there's really no parental control from the parental account aside from being able to cancel your subscription. You can't set it to schedule a certain number of lessons to be completed per day or anything.
For a cheap program it's fine. Just don't expect more than you're paying for and don't expect your complaints about the system to be fixed quickly since you're dealing with a third party. As long as you're bright enough to be homeschooling your kid in the first place you should be able to make it work, though.
